Brochure FlowPack® Vitherm

FLOWPACK CAN OPERATE AT PRESSURES FULL VACUUM (FV) UP TO 20-25 BARG DEPENDING ON MODEL & TEMPERATURES -20°C - 180°C

FlowPack is a dismantlable Gasketed Plate and Frame Heat Exchanger, specially designed to guarantee the best operation and the longest lifetime for each of its components. FlowPack heat exchanger plates are pressed in one single stroke by large tonnage hydraulic presses. This enables compliance to extremely tight tolerance, allowing large plate packs to be perfectly aligned in when assembled. The profile of the plates has been specially designed to generate high turbulence, which guarantees high heat transfer rates and a resistance to fouling higher than average.

The number of plates is determined by the flow rate, physical properties of the fluids, pressure drop and temperature of the application. The corrugations on the plates are also determined by the particular application, promote fluid turbulence and reinforce the plates against differential pressure between the fluid mediums.

FlowPack can be manufactured in variety of steel types, with a variety of port and connection configurations.

MATERIALS

  • Plates
    Plates materials may include: stainless steel (SS 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 316 Ti), titanium - Ti + 0,2% Pd, nickel, nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys (Ni-Cr-Mo) / equivalent alloys (C-276, C2000, C22, B2, G30), AISI 904L - 1.4539 / equivalents (254 SMO, 904L), Incoloy, Inconel, Monel, aluminum, alloys of copper with nickel, copper and tantalum.
  • Gaskets
Gasket materials may include: Nitrile, EPDM, H. EPDM, butyl, fluorinated elastomers, neoprene, Hypalon, silicone, elastomers with PTFE-coating. The choice of material for gaskets depends on its compatibility with the coolant temperature and pressure of the latter.
  • Panels
Fixed and movable panels are made from standard carbon steel painted or stainless steel.
